With the rapid development of mobile communication technology, user demand for communication technology along with the continuous development of technology has become increasingly high. Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology can provide very high channel capacity and low error rate. The MIMO technology can improve the reliability of the channel, to cause the performance of the wireless communication improve greatly. What’s more, the OFDM technology can well improve the spectrum utilization of system and effectively resist the channel fading. Obviously, the combination of MIMO and OFDM technology is the core technology of the next generation of4G communications, with high spectrum efficiency, strong anti-interference ability, high channel capacity, and many other advantages. For the whole mobile communication system, the first problem is the need to solve the synchronization problem because the synchronization performance will directly affect the communication quality of the system, thus affecting the overall performance of the communication system. Therefore, the OFDM system is very strict to the requirements of system synchronization error, so a small deviation would destroy the performance of system. Obviously, the MIMO-OFDM system also inherited this characteristic indirectly. Distributed MIMO-OFDM system can generate multiple delays and frequency offset, while the delay and frequency offset are also very sensitive, so the importance of synchronization algorithm for distributed MIMO-OFDM system has more practical significance. In addition, in order to more in-depth understanding of the characteristics and performance of the distributed systems, the article would mainly improve the synchronous performance of the distributed MIMO-OFDM system and study and analyze its synchronization algorithm techniques.
