Since the 21 st century, internet technology’s development becomes fast and global communication become more and more. Under the background of China’s further opening, it’s a simple thing to contact foreign film and TV series. People can watch them in the cinema or by TV channel, however, the fans prefer to watch movies through the internet. The most popular method is funsub group.Funsub group is a group composed of netizens voluntarily, some of them love foreign film and TV plays, and some of them love foreign language. They add subtitles to film or TV plays, and then put that on internet. So, people can what or download films freely. Funsub group is a magic phenomenon, it spread fast and its translation is interesting. But, their behavior is illegal. Pirate and infringement actions are more and more. It has become a problem worth thinking deeply how funsub group exist.Focused on the funsub communication phenomenon, this paper analyzes funsub group’s appear background/operation mechanism/ character/significance through reading documentations, interviews, and observations. The paper is divided into five parts. The first part mainly introduces the research background, literature review, and so on. The second part analyzes the reasons funsub group’s set up and it’s internal operations. The third part introduces the characteristics of funsub group’s communication. The fourth part expounds the communication effect from four aspects. The fifth part proposes the existing problem and coping strategy. Finally, the author makes a conclusion.
