Modeling technology based on features in reverse engineering can effectively discover the initial product design information and reduce the development cycle.In the modeling technology based on the features, cross section quality of curve reconstruction in reverse modeling plays a decisive role.So for the disadvantage in cross section curve reconstruction,this article mainly discusses the cross section data preprocessing method,the determination of segment point interval,the extraction of the optimal segment point,cross section curve reconstruction method comparison and application and so on.Researching on the technical route of the cross section curve reconstruction, explain the key methods using in this process and problems remaining to be solved.Including introduction of point cloud data acquisition method and classification,then illustrate denoising and cross section data sorting method, then introduces in detail the key content of cross section curve reconstruction method based on constraint, mainly including the cross section data of preliminary segmentation, the constraint expression between cross section curve, cross section curve reconstruction of existing methods.For the segment point interval determination and segment point extraction of straight line and free curve.Firstly proposing cross section data processing method based on improved average smoothing method,conducting an effective smoothing on the cross section data after rotation;Secondly putting forward a method based on the principle of mathematical statistics method to determine the segment point interval, mainly including the determination of right point of the interval based on 3 sigma principle and the determination of left point of the interval based on the correlation coefficient method;Then segment point extraction model is established and solved;Finally, respectively giving the instance analysis of the segment point interval determination and segment point extraction.For the segment point interval determination and segment point extraction of arc and free curve.For the problems in the process of arc with free curve, proposed a linearization processing method;Secondly,using the method based on the principle of mathematical statistics to determine of the segment point interval;Then establishing the mathematical model of arc and free curve to extract the segment point;Finally, respectively giving the instance analysis of the segment point interval determination and segment point extraction.Comparing on the cross section curve reconstruction method in the research team,respectively explaining the principle and steps of implementation of the four methods,and using the instance analysis to validate.The method has been applied in self-developed STLViewer software, and then based on the software of the turbine blade model reconstruction, further verified the method in actual application of industrial products.Finally, pointing out the next research content and direction.
