Currently, there are two ways to monitor and control the weld machine work states in the field of welding:management patrol and welding group control system(WGCS). The way of management patrol can not monitor welding machine working parameters in real time, and will waste a lot of manpower and material resources. In the group control system of welding machine, data collection and remote transmission have made long-term development, and field bus and wireless sensor networks are the most popular ways. However, as a bridge of data acquisition and data application, data server system develops very slow. In a lot of welding group control system project, data server is only as affiliated with the system design, there is no in-depth study of the user’s specific needs, and does not consider the overall design architecture of the system and upgrade the space, often leads to "a project a server", multiple welding upload data protocol are not compatible with each other. Under this background, in view of the defect of the server which includes the unscientific and non-extendable software architecture, poor compatibility of the communication protocol, chaotic database design and management, low reliability and security of the server, high-difficulty in operation and maintenance, this paper makes a comprehensive analysis and puts forward a new software design scheme of the server.Firstly, this paper expounds the principle and advantage of the tree-tiered WGCS based on central data server, and makes detail requirements analysis. According to the analysis, the server software of the WGCS is reasonably divided into functional modules, and then the system architecture and a specific design scheme of the prototype are given.Then, server core software design and database server design were carried out detailly in this paper. The server core software design mainly includes the network management module, the thread management module, the data processing module, the filter processing module, the document management module and the database operation module. The whole design follows the basic design structure of the three threads, which ensures the independent operation of each module and improves the overall stability of the system.In the design process of the database server, this paper from the actual demand of welding group control system of under the premise of clear welding group control system database functions and structure, according to the basic steps of database design, and gradually establish welder database conceptual model and the model of relationship between and data model, and use the DBMS provides the database SQL language according to the logical design and physical design of the database was established.Finally, this paper expounds the deployment and the test process of the data server system, and shows the analysis of the test result. Meanwhile, the achievements of the research are objectively evaluated, and the subsequent research in related field is summarized and prospected.
