With the further development of the Internet technology and mobile computing, data centers and computing networks have to deal with increasing load, forcing major companies to gradually expand and create their own data center. Improve the efficiency of the data center not only save huge costs for businesses, but also create tremendous value.Therefore, how to make more efficient use of existing data centers, improve re-source utilization of existing data center has become an increasingly important research topic.In recent years, cloud computing technology has become increasingly important in the data center and takes the research work to a new phase. Virtualization technology has brought new vitality to data centers but also brought some thorny issues. Virtu-alization technology creates an abstract intermediate layer, separating the upper layer applications from the underlying infrastructure, which cause some difficulties to the upper layer applications for the effective use of resources. Based on this problem, we select a widely used technology in Web applications, load balancing, as an application scenario, proposed a "dynamic load balancing system in virtualized environment". The system adjust the weights of virtual machines in real-time in order to balancing physical servers’load and improve data center efficiency. In addition, by monitoring physical machine failure information, we can evacuate physical machines as soon as they failed to ensure high availability of the data center. The main contribution of this work include the following three parts:·A virtualized environment monitoring system:Implementation of this monitor-ing system is different from the traditional physical machine performance moni-toring, It combined with virtual machine performance monitoring, the virtualized environment information collecting and physical machine failure information col-lecting.The system not only manage to collect information in virtualization en-vironment in real-time, but also ensure performance and scalability through good designs.· Modeling the dynamic load balancing problem in virtualized environment and proposing an efficient algorithm:This article not only points out a problem arising from simply applying the traditional load balancing technology in a virtualized environment, but also proposes an innovative algorithm to solve this problem. We also prove that the system achieves improving utilization of physical servers by experiments.· Physical server evacuation in virtualized environment:our system also adjust the weights of virtual machines based on physical machine failure information, in order to migrate the load on failure physical machine and improve the availability of the data center.
