With the nowadays rapid development of community economy, the nature environment which human live on has received the unprecedented destruction. People are increasingly aware of the importance of forest in environmental protection. With the help of modern wireless sensor network technology, applications for real-time forest ecology monitoring are flourishing for the purpose of better understand and protect the forest ecology environment. Location information is not only one of the most necessary basic data for sensor network applications, but a required attribute of perceptive data in forest ecological monitoring sensor network. Around the forest monitoring sensor network applications, this study presents active node location technology based on hand-held intelligent terminal. Besides, the technical feasibility control algorithm and seamless communication are considered and designed. In addition, this study explores the sensor node inspection, which is a new topic, aiming at completing the inspection of all the nodes in the network system quickly and efficiently, as well as do some necessary check and maintenance as the node location is known. This study proposes TSP model to program the inspection route, and adapts the Christofide algorithm, a mainstream algorithm at home and abroad that can achieve the best results in complexity and computational accuracy, to solve the model. And it guides inspectors to visit each sensor node in the monitoring area with graphical interfaces. This research based on the actual requirement of the forest ecology monitoring, studies practical node localization method and node inspection technology, which is of great practical significance on management and operation of forest ecology sensor networks.
