LFM-Barker combined modulation signal has both the characteristics of linear frequency modulation signal and Barker code sequence, not only has good speed ranging accuracy, but also has better anti-interference performance. Therefore, it is applied to the study of radar signal detection system has very important significance. This paper mainly from the performance analysis of LFM-Barker combined modulation signal were studied, including the following aspects:First of all, based on the Linear Frequency Modulation signal and phase coded signal, study its spectrum, pulse compression, side lobe suppression etc., which summed up its characteristics, and used the MATLAB simulation to verify the conclusions.then on this basis, we describe the constitution form and the spectrum of LFM-Barker combined modulation signal, summarize the characteristics of the signal is compared LFM-Barker, relative to the LFM signal and Barker code more evident advantages, and shortcomings are complementary. Finally, the LFM-Barker combined modulation signal is carried out twice of pulse compression, and the results shows that the ratio of the main lobe and side lobe is relatively large, very beneficial for signal detection. At the same time, the radar echo signal of clutter suppression processing, make the target signal can be well distinguished and recovered.
