Direction of Arrival(DOA) estimation, which is used to determine the spatial location of incidence source from different angles and has been adopted in comprehensive investigation and accurate positioning, plays an significant role in Array signal processing, is one of the important part in the field of signal processing. Therefore, the research on DOA estimation is of great significance in theory and practice.With the development of technology and research, it has been discovered that most signals in practical applications are cyclostationary signals, the cyclostationary characteristics of which can be made full use to achieve higher performance of DOA estimation under low signal to noise ratio. Especially, for capability of anti-interference, anti-noise and multiple signal processing, the DOA estimation performance of the algorithms with cyclostationary characteristics is superior to other classical ones.Since approximately consistent resolution and estimation accuracyin any direction can be achieved and pitch angle and azimuth angle can be obtained by uniform circular array, more accuracy DOA can be estimated when array model is uniform circular array. Therefore, DOA estimation based on cyclostationary signal with uniform circular array has been studied in this paper.Firstly, the classical DOA estimation algorithm-ESPRIT the least squares ESPRIT algorithm and total least squares ESPRIT algorithm have been discussed. Then the simulation of the least squares ESPRIT algorithm and the total least squares ESPRIT algorithm under a variety of conditions have been conducted, with the results being analyzed in detail.Secondly, research on the characteristics of cyclostationary signals and the principle of DOA estimation method based on cyclostationary signal, including cyclic LS-ESPRIT Algorithm and its correction Algorithm, have been implemented. In addition, simulations and detailed analyses have been carried out.Finally, a DOA estimationmethod-LS-ESPRIT Algorithm under the uniform circular array has been studied.Based on this method,a new DOA estimation algorithm based on uniform circular array and cycle signal(UCA-Cyclic-LS-Esprit) has been proposed in this paper. The computer simulation results show that, the proposed UCA-Cyclic-LS-Esprit algorithm can accurately estimate the azimuth angle and pitch angles of the signal.
