This topic comes from the 863 Program of State Radio Monitoring Center:Research and validation of the key technologies of 5G wireless network cognition and virtualization. With the explosive growth of communication services in recent years, the demand for spectrum resources has increased dramatically. The current spectrum management allocation mode caused huge waste of spectrum resources. Therefore, in the case of limited spectrum resources, improving the spectrum utilization becomes an urgent problem to be solved. Cognitive radio technology can interact with the electromagnetic environment, and find the idle frequency band in time, which can achieve the reuse of the spectrum resource. It has also become an important method to improve the spectrum utilization and solve the problem of spectrum resource shortage.The work of this paper is the core of this national key project, which provides a basic platform for the research and verification of the key technology of wireless network cognition and virtualization. Cognitive radio spectrum sensing platform can demonstrate the whole process of cognitive radio, and can be used for the test of the merits and demerits of the spectrum sensing algorithm.Firstly, the cognitive radio technology is introduced in detail, including the basic characteristics, key technologies and research status at home and abroad.This topic comes to the conclusion that cognitive radio is a practical method to improve the utilization of spectrum resources.And the choice of spectrum sensing algorithm is the focus of this platform. By comparing in three different algorithms of matched filter detection algorithm, feature detection algorithm and energy detection algorithm, energy detection algorithm is determined as the core algorithm of this system.The construction of "cognitive radio spectrum sensing" platform is the core work of this paper. In the chapter of the buiding of platform,this topic gives the system overall architecture design. It also describes the software and hardware system and the basic information or the use of methods of these. Then it introduces the design of each module of the software of this system based on C# language. The key points are instrument control module, spectrum display module and sensing algorithm module. In the instrument control module, LAN port is used as the interface between the instrument and the host computer. The C# language is connected with the API interface of VSA89600 to realize the control of the hardware device. In the spectrum display module, the topic achieves a continuous flow of spectrum shows using GDI+, double buffering, multi thread and background process technology. And it has successfully solved the animation display problems Caton, flash screen etc. In the realization of the sensing algorithm module, it realizes the function successfully through "Threshold method" and "starting and stopping point determination in spectrum hole method".Then we can get the data of spectral hole" and finish the whole platform.
