With the increasing development in demand for mobile communication and wireless communication service, the spectrum resources are becoming more and more crowd. In order to improve the ratio of using spectrum, kinds of spectrum access technology came into being. Cognitive radio is considered as one of the most promising spectrum sharing technology. In this paper, after we deeply study the principle of cognitive radio, we focus on spectrum sensing for cognitive radio and complete the follow innovative research results.For traditional energy spectrum sensing method, it have high error rate. This paper advises a spectrum sensing method based on Gabor algorithm. Gabor algorithm can accurately reflect the signal of detailed features in a short time, and we use this advantage to improve the detection probability of primary user signal. So, first, we have a continuous-time into a discrete-time signal, and then calculate the Gabor coefficient of the discrete-time signal. After, we calculate the value of the Gabor coefficient. At last, simulation results show that the perception accuracy of primary user signal is higher than traditional energy detection algorithm.Based over sampling blind channel perceived complexity of the algorithm; this paper presents a perception based on the Gabor algorithm over sampling blind channel improved method. This method is guaranteed to obtain a better detection probability under the premise, simplify the computational complexity. The original algorithm has very high detection probability, but it also has computational complexity. New method, although the detection probability of the primary user is little decrease, the computational complexity of the algorithm is more simplified than before. Simulation results show that:the improved algorithm with the original spectrum blind channel sensing algorithm accuracy with some loss, however, the new algorithm has some advantages in the complexity of the whole, may well be an improvement.Finally, the full text is summarized in this paper, and cognitive radio spectrum sensing technology is prospected in low SNR circumstance.
