With the rapid development of science and technology and the continuous improvement of social economy, there is an increasingly high demand on science and technology in various areas. Especially in those booming service industries, the trend of providing efficient and safe service through high technologies is growing rapidly because of the advancement of living quality, the increasing consuming groups and the concept improvement of service requirements in recent years. The major issue facing hotel industry has become how to improve the means of hotel management, since consumers have higher requirement on the efficiency and safety of hotel service with the growing number of large-scale and high-end hotels which embody the development of social economy and service industry. Following the RFID technology, MIFARE has gradually become ripened and it has been widely used in the real society due to its high level of safety, durable data storage, long service life, fast identification, etc. Therefore, the urgent need of hotel managers is to learn how to achieve efficient, safe and humanized hotel management based on MIFARE technology.In view of the analysis above, this paper designed and implemented hotel information management system based on MIFARE technology. The system was designed for the management of present large-scale and high-end hotels. The convenient and safe management on keycards was achieved by MIFARE technology to ensure the convenient and safe hotel service required by customers. With Microsoft SQL Server database, data management and backup were achieved for comprehensive data management and analysis.Specifically, this system designed and achieved personnel management, room management,keycard management, guest management and data management in detail. The personnel management module is mainly set up for hotel staff, including functions of creating new groups, creating new members, authorization set, time set, renaming and member removal,etc. The room management module is used for controlling and checking the servicecondition of hotel rooms, including functions of creating new rooms, modifying room information, room occupation record, room card swiping record, etc. The keycard module is used for managing hotel keycards, including functions of creating backup keycards,modifying keycard information, keycard loss reporting, information aggregation of keycards,etc. The guest management module is used for managing check-in passengers, including functions of guest check-in, room exchange, fee renewal, guest check-out, etc. The data management module is the most crucial one for comprehensive data management, including functions of operator operating record, keycard making record, keycard swiping record,room occupation record, database backup, record recovery, etc. By testing and analyzing the main functions of the system, this paper has showed that the achieved information management system based on MIFARE for hotels is safe and stable and it can provide convenient, efficient and safe management services for customers.
