With the development of society, the demond for high information transmission rate is increasing. Because of its rich band resource, 60 GHz band allows high information transmission rate up to several Gbps. But, compared with low frequency wireless communication system, radio frequency front-end of 60 GHz wireless communication brings high phase noise. At the same time, because it is easily affected by high phase noise, carrier synchronization is a difficult aspect in 60 GHz wireless communication.The carrier synchronization and phase noise suppression algorithms of this thesis are needed to implement in hardware, which need the algorithms have low complexity. This thesis based on IEEE 802.11 ad standard and 60 GHz project, proposes a low complexity algorithm verified in the 60 GHz project, which can realize carrier synchronization and phase noise suppression. This thesis is organized as follows:Firstly, the thesis introduces the 60 GHz wireless communication system, which includes 60 GHz wireless channel, IEEE-802.11 ad standard transmission frame, phase noise model and LDPC.Secondly, the thesis introduces some kinds of mainstream carrier synchronization algorithms. Because, affected by high phase noise, Costas loop can’t realize carrier synchronization in 60 GHz project. This thesis, based on 60 GHz project, proposes a low complexity algorithm based on data aided. Then, through the analysis, this chapter assumes that both carrier frequency offset and phase noise make data phase shift. So, the algorithm based on data aided to correct data phase shift, can both realize carrier synchronization and phase noise compensation suppression.Finally, the thesis introduces some kinds of mainstream compensation of phase noise suppression algorithm. Through the analysis, the algorithm based on data aided to correct phase shift also can realize phase noise suppression. Then, by using the data from FPGA of baseband, this algorithm is verified. Meanwhile, this algorithm achieved great effect in 60 GHz project.
