As an important branch of cryptography, integrated authenticated encryption scheme pro-vides both confidentiality and integrity protection, which is more secure than block cipher without computational increase. Chaos theory as nonlinear dynamic science, which is emerg-ing, is quite similar to cryptography. New approach extended by design the authenticated encryption scheme with the interdisciplinary of chaos and cryptography, which is secure, effi-ciency, and Robustness. This thesis discusses the design notion, cryptanalysis and simulation of an efficient chaotic authenticated encryption scheme which is combined with integer chaos. The following aspects are mainly included.(1) Summarizes the categories of authenticated encryption, introduces the provable se-curity model and basic chaos theory, illustrates the dynamic criterion of chaos. In the first, several authenticated encryption scheme architectures enumerated. Then, the advantages of confidentiality and integrity is discussed through provable security. At last, the Lyapunov exponent of chaos system under finite filed and under integer domain is simply discussed.(2) S-box coupled map lattice (SCML) is proposed by combining the confusion of static S-Box and the diffusion of integer coupled map lattice. The dedicated chaotic authenticated encryption scheme based on stream cipher structure and simultaneously provides confusion, diffusion and Hash through continuous internal state update of SCML. Cryptanalysis and sta-tistical tests show that the proposed AE scheme is secure. With respect to the existing chaotic AE schemes, the proposed scheme is fast enough to contribute secure communication under the resource-limited environment.(3) Benefit from the intrinsic parallel structure of SCML, the digital circuit of the On-Line authenticated encryption scheme, which is based on SCML, is designed and simulated by FPGA, the result shows that both of the resources utilization and throughputs achieved the de-siring effect. Thereafter, further improvement of On-Line authenticated encryption hardware is made to provide incremental authenticated encrypt by advantage of hardware parallelism.Finally, the work of this thesis is summarized comprehensively, and the future research is prospected.
