The Design And Implementation Of Learning Management System For Weihai Marine Vocational College

As the students recruitment scale of Weihai Marine Vocational School expands unceasingly, the traditional manual management way of school information is time-consuming and laborious, and the handwritten management way has brought a lot of pressure for student management personnel at all levels. Processing daily business by traditional handwritten way will require student management personnel more time and energy. At the same time, it also need many manpower and financial resources. This case make collage managements can’t acquire students’ first-hand information as soon as possible. College enrollment expansion caused student affairs difficult to deal with, leading to efficient work time reduce and work efficiency reduce. To sum up the various background factors, the construction of student management system is a must.Comprehensively considered the popular development technologies and the actual situation of College Student Management System, we decided to adopt SSH framework technology, namely using the Struts2, Spring and Hibernate technology. The technical architecture was four layer: Action layer, Biz layer, Dao layer and View layer. We used Oracle database and realized the function of distributed processing.Weihai Marine Vocational College Student Management System mainly includes the six functions:student information management, student rewards and punishment management, scholarship and grants management, difficult life student management, work-study management and system management. The function of student information management includes students’ basic information management, student extension information management, class status changes management and graduate student management. Students’ rewards and punishment management contains two parts:the honorary title management and disciplinary management. Scholarship and grants management includes scholarship management, financial aid management and fee remission management three categories. Fee remission management is advantageous for the student affairs office to maintenance fee waivers information such as the type, level, amount and so on. Difficult life student management includes difficult life management, student loan management and difficult allowance management. Work-study management contains employing unit management, position management, job application, salary management and etc. System management involves two main functions:system configuration and user management.The implementation of this system can speed up the information management of college management personnel, enable managers to timely and accurately get and management information of college students, save the originally required human and material resources and improve the efficiency.
