With the rapid development of Internet of things, the RFID technology and application of different frequency began to blend. So the RFID tags which is compatible with multi-protocol RFID chip should be designed to meet the needs of different areas. Based on SMIC 0.18μm CMOS, the analog front-end of double band RFID tags is designed to satisfy ISO/IEC 15693 and ISO/IEC 18000-6. The research contents and results are as follows:1) The structure of analog front-end of double band RFID tags is advanced. The module is reused to reduce the chip area.2) Based on SMIC 0.18μm CMOS, the module of analog front-end of double band RFID tags is designed and layout, including cross-gate rectifier, charge pump, level-limiter, LDO, modulator, double-model demodulator, clock and reset. In order to reduce chip area, modules in different frequency are reused in this paper. Besides, the invalid energy is cut down though module power management.3) HF RFID test platform is set up, and the main function is tested. The result shows that the design can meet the job requirements of the HF RFID tag chip. The result of this research provides a reference for the realization of the double band RFID tags.
