Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) technology is a novel detection technique based on atomic emission spectroscopy. since LIBS technique has a series of advantages like fast, no sample pretreatment, the ability for gas. liquid and solid, full elemental analysis, detect remotely. So LIBS technique has been widely used in many fields like environmental Monitoring, biomedical, geology research and so on.LIBS commercial instruments have developed very well in foreign, these instruments are equipped with appropriate analysis and test software, and LIBS instruments are still in their infancy in China. The LIBS analysis and test software developed by others in lab enables to control the instrument and qualitatively analysis the spectra collected by the instrument, but there are still many imperfect places. This paper analyzed the insufficient in the LIBS analysis and test software developed by others in lab and commercial LIBS analysis and test software in domestic and foreign, studied the automation in LIBS testing process. LIBS qualitative analysis module and LIBS control software based on Android platform. The main research contents are as follows:(1) The development of site selection LIBS automatic positioning test module based on the sample imageWe developed a kind of site selection LIBS automatic positioning test module based on the sample image.The module is developed based on VS2010 platform and C# language is used. The module uses USB video capture card to control the camera that has zoom function. The module displays the sample images using the PictureBox controls and obtains the coordinates of the test points that the experimenter selects on the sample image by the click event. The module tests the selected points by calling the control module of three-dimensional table, lasers, delay, spectrometer and other LIBS instrument to control the LIBS instrument, sequentially. In the case of the visualization of a sample status. The module can freely choose the testing position, then test automatically. The module can improve the efficiency of the samples testing, while ensuring the effectiveness of the test position.(2) The development of LIBS qualitative analysis module based on C# languageWe using C# language developing LIBS qualitative analysis module based on VS2010 platform.The module uses Sqlite embedded relational database for storing the data of NIST atomic line database and the collected experimental data. The module removes noise and other interference by using simple moving average filtering method handling the LIBS spectral data. The module finds out the peaks in the LIBS spectra by the improved slope peak search method, finally we can obtain the constituent elements of the sample comparing the wavelength of the peaks to the wavelength of the element characteristic peaks in NIST standard atomic data and using multi-feature line matching method. The module can filter, search peak and analysis element, realizing the function of qualitative analysis for LIBS spectra.(3) The development of LIBS control software based on Android platformWe developed LIBS control software based on the Android platform. The software is divided into two parts:client-side and server-side, client-side is installed in a handheld electronic device, the server-side is installed in the control box, the control box connect with LIBS instrument parts through serial cable. Client-side communicate with server-side using TCP/IP protocol and Socket port through WIFI LAN,achieving the wireless remote control of LIBS instrument. The LIBS control software are portable, simple operation, strong processing capability, low power consumption range of advantages, but the environment is not suitable for the case of laboratory personnel in close contact, it can effectively protect the personal safety of laboratory personnel, have important Value.
