There are uneven brightness and contrast in the remote sensing image or between images due to the different time, light, surface feature and other factors in the image acquisition process, which directly affect the subsequent processing and the quality of the final digital orthogonal map. This paper analyzes and experiments the method of color consistency processing on the dodging processing of single image and the color consistency processing between images. The main research contents and innovative results are as follows:1.In this dissertation, the actuality of color consistency processing both in home and abroad are introduced for remote sensing image. The characters and applicability of several kinds of common dodging and color consistency method are expounded. The advantages and disadvantages of the algorithms and its adaptability through the contrast experiment are concluded.2. An adaptive MASK dodging algorithm based on wavelet transform is proposed to overcome the disadvantage of the artificial filtering scale, which can determine the filter scale according to the image information. The effective of the method is verified by experiment.3.Aiming at the disadvantage of the existing methods which can only solve the unevenness in brightness but ignore the unevenness in contrast, an unevenness correction method is proposed based on LRM theory. The experiment shows that the proposed method can commendably solve the unevenness in brightness and contrast for better visual effect.4. In full consideration of the local image information and the positional relationship between the surrounding pixels, dodging algorithm based on wallis filtering method is improved. The feasibility of the method is verified by the experiments.
