The uneven light phenomenon of remote sensing image refered to the uneven distribution ofbrightness and contrast in remote sensing image. The radiometric dodging for remote sensingimage was a theory and method to solve the uniform illumination. On concerning of the threeforms of the uneven illumination phenomenon of remote sensing image: the uneven distributionof brightness, or contrast,or both of them, this article researched the radiation dodging algorithmand the main work is as follows:1. Researched and analysed the classical dodging algorithm principles, processes andimplementation steps of radiometric dodging for remote sensing image in domestic and aboard,summed up the characteristics and adaptability of the algorithms by comparing test.2. Analysed the addition nosie model of remote sensing image, aimed to the lack ofwavelelet transform which did the only approximate sequence decomposition step by step,introduced the wavelet packet transform in which the decomposition of the approximatesequence and details sequence at the same time. Improved the dodging algorithm by waveletpacket transform, the experiment showed the improved algorithm can solve the unevenillumination phenomenon of remote sensing image.3. Aimed at the high dynamic characteristics of the uneven remote resning image, point outa dynamic block method based on the brightness of image, introduced the POSLT algorithm andthe function of piece-wise stretching, to partition the uneven remote sensing. The experimentsshowed that the algorithm could solve the uneven illumination phenomenon and enhanced thedetailed of uneven remote sensing images as well.
