DR (Digital Radiography), digitized X-ray photography system, is composed of the high frequency high voltage generator, the high heat capacity tube, the omnidirectional electric UC arm rack, the digital X-ray detector, the workstation computer and the virtual grids. The advantages of X-ray are that a high resolution, detail; digital image can be display in real time; required X-ray dose is less, smaller body injury; using computer filmless file management method, which improves the efficiency of the clinical diagnosis.The traditional screen-film system will be replaced by the digital X-ray imaging equipment, which is the general trend of development. But China’s basic situation is the low level of rural medical care, lack of funds. As a health care system essential for clinical imaging, the X-ray diagnostic equipment is the popularity of the Chinese rural health care information technology and digital X-ray imaging device has a very universal significance.On the basis of having looked through a number of literature and books and having a deeply understanding of DR digital camera system, a design proposal of a popular type of a motion controller of DR digital camera’s UC arm rack was put forward in this article. According to the control requirements of UC arm, there is a UC arm motion control system based on MCU+CPLD, MCU as the main control chip, CPLD integrated latch, encoder, read/write storage, which has certain reconfigurability. MCU communicate with the CPLD through the bus, with speed fast; and save CPLD chip’s I/O ports; microcontroller could realize programme simplely, reliable control and other advantages. In addition, serial port expension chip TL16C554 is used, which meets the needs of multiple serial communication.UC arm-shaped rack has become the mainstream in the industry, the safety of the rack and precise movement is becoming more and more important. The main content of this paper is roughly divided into the following sections:1. According to the shooting need and safty requirements for medical devices, this article puts forward the design requirement of DR digital cameras UC arm rack movement, and then introduces the DR digital camera the UC arm rack’s movement control part.2. The design of the core circuit board controlling the UC arm movement, which contains the design of the hardware circuit and the software program.3. The content is that The UC arm motion control system’s each execution unit of working principle, device selection, circuit design and analysis etc. The execution units include the motor unit composed of an inverter and a tree-phase AC motor, the unit of two infrared sensors, the LCD display unit, hand control box, limit switches, etc.
