In the vehicle delay tolerant network of intermittent connection, the vehicle mobile node carry the data to communicate by carrying-storage-forwarding mechanism, the node forward data until a new communication link appears. Traditional VANET does not apply in VDTN due to the limitation of the traffic environment and node communication range. How to optimize routing reliably to transfer information more reliably has been one of the research hotspots of VDTN.Location-based routing is one of the important branch in the VDTN, due to the complexity of the network topology and communication environment, multi-hop communication of the vehicle become very difficult, how to use the location information effectively to design a new route is also a challenge. The characteristics of wireless channel obstructions which is result in the movement makes location-based information routing facing many challenges. In view of the above problems connection interruption, Topological structure auxiliary location routing to opportunity forward to improve the performance of routing, Choose optimization forwarding node set improve wireless channel transmission characteristics, which Based on the geographical position and opportunity routing protocolIn this paper, we have compared the improved routing protocol with traditional Vanet routing which in Qualnet 5.2 under the different network simulation scenarios. The experimental results show that, the improved routing mechanism having a higher forwarding rate through the comparison with the improved algorithm in the plurality of routes, Experiments show that this approach has a good data transmission comprised with traditional MANET routing.
