Communication Technology is a rapidly developing field with new technologies and techniques’emerging all the time, Microwave Communication is important one of them. Communication technology is developing to merging, wide band and high speed, Microwave Communication introduces new standards and features which enhance Microwave Communication to support new business requirements.Firstly, this paper introduces the basic principle of Microwave Communication, including fading, frequency using and different modulation. And then compares Microwave Communication with Optical Fiber Communication and Satellite Communications. Chapter Two introduces data transition of 2G,3G and LTE, EVPL and QinQ. Regarding EVPL, complete the configuration in the lab and then verify the configuration can work as expected. Regarding QinQ, it is very popular in operator’s network, and the case mentioned in the paper come from one real use case, and then configure it in the lab and verify it can work as expected. Chapter three introduces data protection and XPIC. XPIC fault is common in the field, but it isn’t easy to do the troubleshooting because the possible causes are multiple and complex. In this paper, quote a real XPIC trouble and follow the troubleshooting step—first to check the configuration, and then check the link performance, and last to check the XPD, finally find the root cause. And next, this paper shows how to realize data communication and protection, and takes a classic communication network as an example to introduce data transmission, data protection, and device management. Then next, this paper introduces some new stander and application, for example—QoS etc. Having these new features, the traditional microwave device can support layer 3 communication. In the following chapter, it introduces the new concept-NLOS which proves that Microwave Communication is able to provide stable communication ability under NLOS. In the last part, it introduces the challenge Microwave Communication facing is Optical Fiber Communication. And also the low frequency is using up. MIMO is taken as core technology of the next generation of mobile communication, and it is also the important R&D area of Microwave Communication.
