The single-path transfer mode based on conventional routing technology, it is difficult to support resource allocation effectively, because of the demand for high-bandwidth services. The technology of multipath transmission based on overlay network has reached a mature stage. Important changes have taken place in the QoS/QoE model, based on the overlay network of multipath transmission. As a result QoS mechanism must be redesigned. Therefore, a strategy decision-making model is needed urgently.This thesis introduces the techniques and progress of current researches, studies network evaluation models, designs and implements an evaluation model that supports overlay networks and multipath transmissions. Statistical methods such as fuzzy mathematics, stochastic process, Markoff prediction model and vector analysis method are used. Firstly, the end to end QoE assurance system is designed. The system contains two main components, the QoE/QoS reporting component at terminal, and the QoE management component at network and sources. Secondly, QoS and QoE parameters are gathered by RTCP. Estimated values of QoE are graded by two basic approaches. The after-quantization QoE grades are standardized, intuitional and convenient for strategic decision-making such as path selection and load allocation. Thirdly, to avoid single path mutation, there are two possible dynamic triggers discussed. It realized the real-time evaluation of end-to-end multipath transmission. Fourthly, this thesis extends customized grouping styles of RTCP, constructs multipath transmission quality reports and composite QoS assessment reports. In addition, considering the compatibility with the 3GPP strategy management framework, the application model and signaling process are also introduced.The final part distinguishes ordinary video calls and HD video calls, conducts simulation test and data analysis of the end-to-end transmission evaluation, application layer QoE evaluation and overlay network multipath transmission comprehensive evaluation, using OMNeT++. However, the output is normal text. Therefore, mathematical simulation software Matlab is chosen for the data analysis. The results of simulation and test show that the solution proposed in the thesis is rational and available, which could be used in multipath QoS estimation in the overlay network.
