Along with electronic technology developing and its broad application in various areas, the competition in electromagnetism field are getting intense. The high-tech wars these years show that satellite communication system plays very important role in modern electronic war and information war. The technology data, working characteristics and position information of communication signal acquired from opposite side needs to be transmitted to command center through communication system, command center analyses the data and uniformly dispatch the personnel and weapon system via communication system. The communication system is the ligament in modern war, and also affects the victory or defeat of the war.The satellite works as relay station in satellite communication system, accordingly realize voice and data communication of regional terminal device. It consists of communication satellite, earth station and user terminal those 3 parts, due to wide satellite communication overlay area, long communication distance, agility communication method and high connection stability, thus it widely applies in different fields.This thesis takes the research and development of certain Ka/Ku dual band satellite communication system as background, emphasizes servo control design and research. Studies general design scheme of vehicle-mounted satellite antenna servo control system working at outdoors severe environment, and implement scheme of auto vehicle-mounted satellite antenna servo control system that combined electronic compass, GPS and position sensor etc, which collect longitude and latitude, azimuth, heel, trim and antenna position information of mobile vehicle, accordingly realize the auto control implementation scheme vehicle-mounted satcom antenna system, this system could work at any landform, auto set up and track the satellite, fast establish stable communication network, realize Ka/Ku band signal receiving and transmitting.This thesis firstly introduced antenna sub-system and proposed the design target of antenna servo control system, studied selection of antenna mount and type etc., introduced servo control general scheme based on electronic compass/GPS and CAN bus, detailed described antenna servo device working principle and composing; then proposed realization of hardware and software in detail, hardware mainly included micro controller selection, keyboard and LCD, CAN bus, compass and GPS etc. interface circuit design, and software included software functional structure introduction, developing platform circumstance along with program main flow and unit module design, and then described the design and realization of auto tracking technology, in the end, system testing and acceptance instance was introduced.
