Research On The Camera Calibration Method Of Machine Visual Inspection System Of Molten Pool Level In Strip Casting

In the process of strip casting, the molten pool level is an important factor which effects the quality of the strip. It is a key issue to achieve accurate measurement of molten pool level to keep stability. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new detection method of molten pool level in strip casting.This paper aims at the molten pool level visual inspection system in strip casting, and conducts a detailed study on key technologies and important problems of calibration, establishes a calibration method of molten pool level of strip casting, which can be used to measure molten pool level. Main contents are as follows:(1) Buliding and optimizing the camera model based on the machine vision inspection in molten pool levelTheoretical analysis and mathematical derivations which are firstly used on the camera model based on the machine vision inspection in molten pool level, making camera calibration come true, get the internal and external parameters.(2) Filtering the collection of imageBetween the image capture and transmission, it contains noise. Studying the median average filtering method, then filter the image obtained by the camera. The results showed that the filtering effect meets the requirement.(3) Camera calibration technology in the application of the molten pool level measurementIn the process of measuring molten pool level of strip casting, adopting camera calibration technique, use conversion relationship between image system and the world coordinate, to achieve calibration for visual inspection system with calibration plate. Based on mathematical methods in computer vision, establish a model of molten pool level, and verified. At last, achieve the measurement of molten pool level by camera calibration. The results show that the system owns high precision.
