Pulse wave plays a very important role in human biological signals. It contains lots of important physiological information about the health of the human (heart rate, left ventricular systolic time intervals, peripheral resistance, etc.). With the rapid development of computer processing power and signal processing technologies, researching on pulse wave can make use of more advanced technology. Traditional methods of measuring pulse wave are through the IR sensors on the organ of body, such as fingers and arms. Although the method of pulse wave signal can be obtained accurately, it needs some medical equipment, which are expensive, cumbersome, inconvenient measurement.In recent years, The emergence of Android mobile operating system has make many applications originally in desktop ported to mobile phones, which provides many new ways to measure the body’s physiological parameters. The camera of the mobile phone can capture the changes of finger skin surface. The mobile phone processes the imaging signal, and it can extract many physiological parameters from the signal, such as heart rate, left ventricular systolic time, peripheral resistance, and respiration rate.Firstly, this thesis describes the formation and characteristics of the pulse wave in detail, then it analyses influencing factors of mobile measuring pulse wave signal.The factor concludes finding the finger’s right position on the camera, auto white balance and the calculated location of image. Secondly, in this thesis, the method of process the pulse wave signal, median filter that removes the high frequency noise interference, wavelet transform that removing baseline wander is the key point. Experiments prove that the above methods have obviously effective operation on the original pulse wave. Last, this thesis designs software based on the collection of pulse wave and calculation of physiological parameters. It concludes human of heart rate, left ventricular contraction time, average pressure, heart beats out volume, heart output volume, and outside resistance. In addition, the software also has the function of detection, display and storage of physiological parameter.The result of experiment shows that, the camera of mobile phone based on Android can completely collect the pulse wave of human. After improving the value filtering algorithm, removal baseline drift algorithm, found peak algorithm, and related algorithm, the software can calculate various physiological parameter of the human body. Last, compared the physiological parameters detected by mobile phones and the ones detected by other equipment, it comes to the conclusion that the software based on this thesis can rightly measure the physiological parameter of the human body.
