With the rapid development, computer networks have been widely applied in the field of proprietary networks. It is important goal for the information construction of proprietary networks that building the convenient and efficient computer network environment and it has achieved positive results. However, because of the dual attributes of IP address for the identity and location, the proprietary network which is based on the TCP/IP protocol standard can not become the reliable communication infrastructure. So that only developing the new internet protocol standard with new intellectual property, we can provide a strong guarantee for the development of the prvate network.To solve the handover management issue and other mobile related issues in mobile communication process in proprietary networks, this paper based on the New Internetunicast identification communication protocol, propose a mobile node handoverprotocol in the New Internet.First of all, this paper introduces the development of the related protocols about the network mobility technologies and the research status at home and abroad, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the existing technologies, and illustrating the necessity of this research. Then it introduces the architecture of the New Internet and the theory about the New Internet unicast identification communication protocol. On the basis of the above techniques, this paper proposes a handoverprotocol for mobile nodes in the New Internet. This protocol aims to solve the mobile nodes handover problems in New Internet, so that we can provide a fast and secure mobile network. Aming the functional requirements, this paper designs the IDMS mobility management domain to management the mapping relationgship, designs the mobile terminal access protocol extension headers and mapping storage systemsand divided the protocolinto three functional modules about mobility detection, location registration update and location quer, and detailed designing each module. Then, the prototype system under Linux system is designed in the paper to test the whole protocol. And the test results show that the propresed protocol is in line with the needs and purposes.At last, this paper summer izes the work and makes the prospect of future work.
