Navigation technology has more and more applications to daily life today, but there are lots of problems in practical application process with a single-navigation system, which are caused by the defects of principle. The integrated navigation technology is a good approach to improve precision without changing the physical properties of equipment.the INS/Satellite Integrated Navigation becomes the most widely used integrated navigation system.BeiDou Navigation Satellite System has been completed the coverage of Asia-pacific region for now,and the performance in China is better than other regions, which lead to its high competition compared with the GPS.In this case,GPS/BDS navigation chip is growing fast in the markets.Through analysis and comparison of these navigation chips,we realize that this GPS/BDS navigation chip can improves performance well in positioning accuracy.Inertial navigation system can remedy some shortcomings of Satellite navigation system because of its self-determination,and the strapdown inertial navigation system based on MEMS has good development space in the civil market, which is one of inertial navigation systems with compact size and low cost. The integrated navigation system composed by INS based on MEMS and GPS/BDS navigation system use a DSP chip as its navigational computer to calculate the mathematical model of loosely-coupled INS with calman filter. The detailed hardware and software design are completed in this paper including the data sampling module, the core processor, the wireless communication module and the power module. In the end,a conclusion is proposed that the integrated navigation system presented in this paper can improve the performance of positioning through some experiments.
