In response to the threat of precision-guided missiles, the development of photovoltaic confrontation turntable and improvement of important weaponry battlefield survivability has already been an inevitable trend. This paper is based on actual engnineering project. Using PID control strategy and the main processor is DSP. The software and hardware designs are completed. At last the system test results indicate that the turntable servomechanism performance met the requirements of project fully. Besides the control system has also the point location system with high precision, fast dynamic response characteristics. Expected target is achieved.Accoring to the Overall concept design of the turntable control system, the article is made up of two parts, hardware design and software design. Hardware contains control box and data acquisition board. It accomplishes the hardware design of driving boards based on TMS320F28335 and DRV8432 chips, including TMS320F28335 core module and the driving circuit design based on DRV8432.The components, applications, basic working principle and processes of turntable servo system are also introduced briefly in the papar. The key components of the system are the main control chip, motors, driver chips, resolver and RDC modules.They are all introduced in detail afterwards. Software design includes the system software architecture design, driving control board and data acquisition board software design. What’s more, the program design is illustrated in detail. According to the system functions, the code of various functional modules has been finished to accomplish the turntable position control.In the paper, based on the characteristics of DC torque motor used in the control system, the mathematical model of control object is established. The control system is designed based on double loop control controller design idea, which covers the speed loop and position loop. The simulation results of designed controlletr show that the requirements of project specifications are all accomplished..In addition, for testing the servo system performance and turntable structural properties, two methods have been adopted: the time-domain characteristics are tested by dead-time voltage method and voltage pulse signal method; frequency-domain characteristics are tested by chirp siganl. With the addition of the last servo performance test of the system, results show that the optimization of the Overall concept design is appropriate. The design of software and hardware are correct. Ultimately, the requirements of project specifications are all accomplished. The system possesses predominant versatility and practicality to a certain degree.
