Nowadays, in the age of big data, the lighting devices is developing rapidly. Visible light communication(VLC) attracts most people’s attention. It transmits through LED. The system characterizes signals by different strengths that is loaded onto the LED devices to deliver the information soon. This technology emerges from lighting and communication over short distance. Visible light transmits data in the way of point to point, so it is quite safe. It has advantages of energy-saving, no radiation, geen in environment, wide bandwidth and so on. With these advantages, it will has a good prospect. This paper achieves the sending and reception of audio data by using DSP F28335 as the core of the whole system.The main work of this paper is as follows:(1) The basic principle of visible light communication, LED light-emitting principle, modulation characteristics and spectral characteristics are analyzed. Several visible wireless channel connections are studied,and the visible light communication channel model are established.(2) Make a detailed design of the hardware aspects of the visible light wireless communication system based on LED. Considering the transmission module, the design of the transmission part and the power part is processed through analyzing the signals as well as choosing appropriate LED device. As the receiver module, photoelectric detectors is selected, and the receiving circuit is achieved.(3) Based on the visible light system hardware circuit, the software features are designed. Software program functions is based on the core F28335 which is manufactured by Texas Instruments. In the reception module, programming communication combines the audio signal conversion AIC23 with the core processor F28335.(4) Accomplishment the tests of the visible light communication system based on LED, including sending signal test, input and output test of signal processing module and the effect of the actual transmision. At the end of the paper, the result of the test is analyzed.
