With the rapid development of science and technology, the continuous progress of computer communication and electronic technology, the control systems are undergoing structural changes. In order to meet the needs of the systems structural changes, network transmission mode has been gradually applied to the field of control, and it created networked control systems. Although the intervention of network brought many advantages, a lot of problems inevitably happened which made the research of control systems more complicated. In this article, guaranteed cost control research for networked control systems with three different phenomena, such as bounded uncertain time delay, time-varying sampling period and bounded time delay, time-varying delay and random packet dropout are deeply studied by applying the theory of Lyapunov stability and random switching systems. The main research contents are summarized as follows:Firstly, the research background, significance and purpose, the basic problems of networked control systems and current researches of related problems are introduced. And some basic concepts and lemmas are also given.Secondly, optimal guaranteed cost control problem for networked control systems with bounded uncertain time delay is investigated. The systems are modeled as discrete uncertain systems, and the uncertainties of time delay are transformed into the uncertainties of systems by using Matrix theory. And the guaranteed cost controller and corresponding cost function value for the systems are finally gained.Again, optimal guaranteed cost control problem for networked control systems with time-varying sampling period and bounded time delay is studied. The uncertainties of sampling period and time delay are transformed into the uncertainties of systems matrices by using Taylor formula. By modeling the systems as interval systems according to uncertainty range, the guaranteed cost controller and corresponding cost function value for the systems are gained.Then, networked control systems with time-varying delay and random packet dropout are studied. Time delay is varying within a certain range, and discrete jump systems with two kinds of operation mode are gained with the theory of Markov jump systems. And the state feedback guaranteed cost controller is obtained with LMIs technology, and the systems have corresponding performance index upper bound.Finally, the research work in this article is summarized and the perspective of future studies is prospected.
