The main purpose of warp knitting MES is to enhance the monitoring of warp knitting work floor. This is to help managers have real time knowledge of manufacturing spots, and help make decisions according to the inner and outside change.Currently, the informative level of warp knitting enterprise is so poor that the manufacturing managers find it hard to keep up with the real time situation of the work floor. To enhance the level of information management under networks and help warp knitting enterprises have a more effective response to market demands, we conduct the research about the design and development of warp knitting manufacturing execution systems.An initial survey of a warp knitting enterprise’s business process was carried out to analyze the current situation and characteristics. Based on the demands of warp knitting work floor management, the necessary requirements for warp knitting MES was studied and incorporated into the design and structure of warp knitting MES with functions covering almost all common demands for warp knitting enterprise. UML was then used to describe the function structures of warp knitting manufacturing execution system designed.Subsequently, the method of collecting manufacturing data from warp knitting work floor was studied. This part encompasses data classification and the design of general data flow structure. The key technology of data collection was discussed and then the collection method of different data was identified. The techonology of data transmission was discussed to study the building of networks based on Zigbee and serial communication technology was used to design a gateway making it possible for data communication between the domain network and the internet.A consequent discussion on the structure of MES web, including the software structure, hardware structure and the tools was done and used to develop this system. A Database was built based on SQL server 2008 and the necessary field syllables of different data tables were given. Also the relation between different tables was studied and mathematical models of production scheduling, quality statistic, production statistic and salary accounting were built.Finally, based on the research results the webs of this system were divided into three kinds, including static webs, dynamic webs and checking webs and then the resultant technology was discussed. The program language of C# was used to design different function modules of client interface with ASP.NET technology under B/S models in Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 integrated development environment and practical warp knitting MES was developed and different functions of the system was given. In the last part of the thesis, a conclusion and prospect of the thesis was showed.
