Sound source localization system has been widely used in civilian, military industrial and other areas. However, due to the influence of location algorithm and noise, the accuracy of the acoustic source localization based on microphone arrays is relatively low. Therefore, now how to improve the accuracy of sound source localization is a hot issue in the field of sound source localization.The purpose of this thesis is to solve how to improve the accuracy of sound source localization. By using a combination of microphone array elements between the geometric relation, namely by the multi-direction estimates that a plurality of microphone arrays between comprehensive consideration, determine the sound source position with high precision.Firstly, in terms of time delay estimation algorithm, focuses on the study of basic cross-correlation delay estimation that by using pairwise microphone receives the target source signal corresponding frames do basic cross-correlation to obtain higher precision time delay. Secondly, in terms of location algorithm, a detailed derivation of the plane five cross array microphone array model of localization algorithm and the combination of microphone array model localization algorithm, and according to the different sizes of single planar five element cross array microphone array and combination microphone array accuracy simulation analysis. Compared with the results of a single planar five element cross microphone array on the target sound source localization, on the whole a combination of microphone array increased its target sound source localization accuracy. Finally, in case of a certain target sound source location, respectively from the array element spacing, the target source distance, azimuth and pitch angle of the four different conditions of single planar five elements cross array microphone array and combination microphone array two formation were simulated of acoustic source localization accuracy of comparative analysis, and analysized the results.
