Satellite network has become an important role in the modern communication system and it is also a powerful method for the exchange of modern information. For now, the next generation satellite network is getting faster in information transmission and its bandwidth is getting broader. Routing is the core of the satellite network and its performance influences the efficiency and reliability of the entire network largely. And the satellite constellation is the foundation of routing.The main work of this paper is the research on the networking technology of dynamic routing in satellite network. Firstly, two low earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellations that realize the global seamless coverage are designed. And one of them will support the further research on dynamic routing technology. Secondly, a multi-QoS optimization routing model is built after analyzing the mechanism of QoS guarantee and the character of the service in satellite network. Finally, a dynamic on-demand routing algorithm based on cross-layer design (DORA-CLD) is proposed, which combines on-demand routing with the cross-layer strategy.The main research achievements of this paper are described as follows:1. Two LEO satellite constellations that realize the global seamless coverage are designed. In order to provide a platform for the research on dynamic routing technology, four design objectives of the satellite constellation are established. Then a polar orbit satellite constellation and a walker-8 satellite constellation are designed by using mathematical analytic method and comparative simulation respectively. The simulation results show that each of the designed satellite constellations has better coverage performance than the Iridium system. The research above is an important guarantee for the research on routing technology.2. A multi-QoS optimization routing model based on the character of the service is built after analyzing the mechanism of QoS guarantee in satellite network. The model constrains the delay, bandwidth and bit error rate of the optimal path to meet the demands of video conference service.3. A dynamic on-demand routing algorithm based on cross-layer design is proposed. The theory of on-demand routing is introduced and the algorithm can find the optimal path by using the route discovery process of on-demand routing technology and cross-layer strategy to solve the optimization routing model. The simulation results show that the algorithm is efficient and reliable. And it can guarantee the reliability and timeliness of data transmission in the LEO satellite network.
