With the advent of big data, end-to-end transport mechanism can not meet transport demand of massive data in the Internet. At the same time, access pattern changes from traditional fixed access to the combination of the fixed access and mobile access. Mobile access cause that the terminal positions are no longer fixed. The IP-address-centric Internet with end-to-end transport mechanism is not suit for the transmission with the terminal location not fixed. To solve the congenital defects in the design of Internet, people begin to think the architecture in Future Internet. Thus the Internet architecture is revolutionary redesigned. Information-Centric Networking (ICN) is emerged in this context.Academia and industry are both thinking about routing mechanism in ICN. Routing mechanism in ICN is also researched in this thesis. With the rapid increase in power consumption and greenhouse gas emissions of the Internet, green and environmental protection has become a basic requirement for the construction and development of the network. Thus, according to the basic research achievements about architecture and working principle of ICN, based on the features such as content named, content retrieval of ICN and natural backup, green routing mechanism is designed in this thesis. In the process of data transfer, according to energy efficiency status of links and green routing algorithm, network traffic is adjusted dynamically. A path with high energy efficiency is choosed to transmit data. Energy efficiency of links is improved, and then energy efficient in the whole network is improved. The routing nodes in ICN need to have the capabilities of pathfinding, data exchange, computing, storage, self-awareness and self-management.And in recent years, new applications (such as e-learning, video conference, online training, and telemedicine) are growing increasingly. Wherefore, user requirements of Quality of Service (QoS) are higher and higher. Thus, QoS and fault tolerant need to take into account in routing mechanism design of ICN.User requirements of QoS are considered in this thesis. In the routing, maximize the end-to-end QoS evaluation. At the same time, to ensure the end-to-end reliability, a protective path is also established when a working path is established. Since multi-constraint and multi-objective QoS routing has been proved to be NP-complete problem. Therefore, Intelligent Water Drops algorithm is introduced to derive the solution. The proposed green QoS routing mechanism in ICN has been simulated, and performance has been compared with benchmark mechanism. Results show that, the performance of energy-saving and meeting user QoS requirements in the proposed mechanism in this thesis is feasible and effective.
