With the growing competition in the pharmaceutical industry, pharmaceutical companies can not afford due to the traditional manual method of detecting drug brought low efficiency, low accuracy and cost issues. For manual detection of defects, this paper has developed with existing pharmaceutical packaging production line automated inspection system solutions.Firstly, to be achieved by shape structure SolidWorks software inspection automation system equipment design and prototyping.Then medicine board sorting section based on Googol motion controller,while based on CPLD medicine board achieved separation distance, remove defective and light control. Medicine board by sorting device will enter the machine vision inspection, finally for the requirements of the actual drug inspection, this paper has built visual inspection system.Designed a system-specific illumination scheme, the use of industrial cameras to capture images,use image processing software HALCON, Through effective co-ordination of these algorithms, complete lack of medicine tablets, real-time online to identify damaged, and automatically remove defective.Through experimental verification, to achieve the desired of the drugs real-time online inspection purposes. Effective and reliable automated system, thus efficiently replace manual inspection of medicine board.
