An end-pumped master oscillator power amplifier(MOPA) with high frequency has bee n designed and built in this paper, through theoretical and experimental study on characte ristics of the master oscillation power amplifier, realized 1.06μm fundamental mode laser output with power of 86.6W at the frequency of 50 kHz.Firstly, the theoretical derivation of an end-pumped Nd:YVO4 master oscillator operatin g in continuous and pulse condition was conduct, and obtained the optimal ratio of pump si ze to fundamental laser size and the relationship of output power and input power in the cont inuous and pulse operation.; Through to the relationship of amplified power and extract ion efficiency, got the conclusion that high power seed-source laser can increase extr action efficiency of the amplifier. Based on the above theory, a LD end-pumped mast er oscillator power amplifier was built. By the design of whole structure, a 27 W Q-sw itch pulse laser output with pulse width of 19.01 ns was got. After a four-stage amplifi cation, 99 W continuous laser and 86.6W pulse laser is obtained. By the gain guiding effec t, the phenomenon of the amplifier stage beam quality worsen before they improved i s explained reasonably.
