Android is now one of the most popular mobile platforms. With the popularity of Android, Andr oid terminal system has become a breeding ground for malicious virus software. They brought serious damage to the user, by stealing user privacy, deducting use r fee s and destructing s ystems. Therefore, the research for security technology of Androi d platform is particularly important.In this paper, t he sandbox mechanism, application permis sions mechanism and procedures signature mechanis m of Andr oid system are st udied. On this basis, the security risks hide in systems i s analyzed. And then a security de tection syst em based on Android platform is designed and r ealized by using the static de tecting method c ombine d wit h t he dynamic detecting method. The system includes four modules: anti-virus scanning module, securit y moni toring module, anti-theft module and security l ogs module. The cor e modules of the system are the anti-virus scanning module and the sec urity monitoring module which used t o detect t he malware in Androi d system.Anti-virus s canning module designe d i n systems is mainly misuse intrusion detection me thod based on vi rus signatures. An eigenvalues tha t ide ntifies malware uniquely obtained in this paper using the MD5 a lgorithm to generate virus signature database. When scanning, through package name and signature, the anti- virus module e xtracts applications’ fea tures using the MD5 algori thm. M atch t he si gnatures of applicat ion wit h t he signatures of virus, to detect malware. Howe ver, the anti-virus scanning module which rea liz ed in this paper can accura tel y detect the virus i n the virus signature database, but it c an’t detect unknown malware.In order to proactively det ect unknown malware, a security monitori ng modul e is designed whic h use the dynamic detecting method to monitor t he behavior of Android system. The potential security risks of Android are analyze d, and t he principle of traffic detection is s tudied. In or der to avoid the attacks from malware, the security monitoring module monitors the functions of SM S, call, and t he tr affic of network have been monitored too.Finally, a security det ection system designed in this paper i s insta lle d on Android mobile phones to do unit testing, integration test ing, and system te sting. The e xperiments show that the security detection system is effective, stable and low consumption inprotecting the safety of mobi le phone use r s.
