In recent years, with the intelligent terminals with wireless LAN capabilities on the market quickly spread, the wireless LANs develop rapidly. Wireless LAN security issues in public spaces under free Wi Fi environment attracted people’s great attention. The study of evil twin attack which is wireless phishing access point camouflage legitimate access point and detection technique become a hot study spot. Due to the existing wireless LAN security testing program primarily for network service providers or network administrators, public places need a more flexible and effective testing program.The main work of this paper is as follows:firstly, the wireless LAN access point wireless phishing attack principle is analyzed, this paper points out specific implementation of public wireless environment phishing attacks. Then this paper studies the detection of wireless access point problem of general thoughts both at home and abroad in the wireless LAN security detection methods. In this paper, according to the characteristics of detection technology, detection methods are divided into two categories, based on the wireless side and based on the wired side detection, and compared their advantages and disadvantages.Finally, this paper shows the experimental setup of the client’s testing program, testing method based on real-world environment and evaluates the performance of the detection scheme. Experimental results show that the testing program is fully able to meet the current demand for wireless environments to detect phishing access points. This work has some theoretical significance and application value for the detection of public phishing access point wireless environment.Aiming at the shortcomings of the existing detection scheme, this paper analyzes the characteristics of a wireless access point phishing attack scenario network structure, proposed a lightweight detection scheme based on the user side. Detection scheme makes use of the inter-arrival time caused by client data needs one more hop route in wireless phishing attack. Based on the client’s testing program including training on average by matching algorithm and distinguishing hops algorithm detects packet inter-arrival time as well as data pre-processing data filtering and data smoothing performance improved detection scheme.Summary, the main work of this paper focus on the wireless LAN access point wireless phishing attack issues research work, has both theoretical analysis and proven. This paper has some theoretical significance and value to the detect study of the public environmental wireless access point phishing.
