Research And Design Of Streaming Media Service System Based On Android

With the development of electrical information technology, wireless network, broadband services and Android mobile phone and tablets, the demand for multimedia service by using mobile intelligent devices is increasing. By connecting wireless network, using streaming media service in the mobile intelligent terminals giving people more convenience.Streaming media refers to using wireless network, through a real-time network transmission protocol to different formats of multimedia data, in the form of continuous media stream from the sender to the receiver. After a certain amount of data cache in the receiver, the media stream can be played. Streaming media service has been applied in every aspect of daily life, such as video entertainment, television, remote monitoring, real-time video conference, remote education and so on; streaming media services is playing an important role in people life.From two aspects of theory and practice, this paper discusses the research and design of streaming media service system based on Android. In theory, this paper expounds the basic concept of streaming media and network protocol. On the analysis of the streaming media server, this paper expounds the streaming media service of three business models: video on demand, live and video download. The client side, the paper analyzes the current three mobile intelligent terminal operating systems, finally choose android platform for the customer. On the concrete practice, first, design the architecture of streaming media service system, and then respectively streaming media server and the client part of the detailed design.Finally, the client application is installed on the Android mobile devices, for video on demand; video broadcast and video download operation, the three major business functions in the streaming media service test verification. The results show that the client program can meet the expected design requirements.
