| Community newspaper originated in the USA with 300 years of history, the community newspaper in China’s development has been only 10 years, from only one to thriving, development road of Chinese community newspaper has not been easy,most of them still in the exploratory stage. From the perspective of the scale and effect of a newspaper, Beijing, Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta and other developed areas of the community in the leader position.From 2009 founded the first community newspaper began, the "Pearl River Times", which located in the Pearl River Delta region, is now founded 10 parts of the community newspaper in10 towns of Foshan, the total issuance reach 50 million copies,and the economic benefit increased year by year.Perhaps the "Pearl River Times" community newspaper is not China’s best community newspaper, but it worked out to achieve a set of media, government and the public demands and win, with Chinese characteristics newspaper model, not only active in the community building, but also to achieve a positive interactive between media and governance.From the theoretical perspective of journalism, communication studies and sociology of view, this article conducted a comprehensive study of the "Pearl River Times" community newspaper,summarize some successful experience, analyze its development bottleneck, and then combined with the successful experience of others outstanding community newspaper in Western or China, to explore the "Pearl River Times" community newspaper future optimization strategy. To help it become the "navigation" in Foshan city development, also hope that through study this case to inspire the development of China’s other community newspaper, it will be in the few research results in the community newspaper research field of the "Pearl River Times" community newspaper. |
