The spread of the innovation of new information technology changing our pattern, and the rise of social media is one of the most prominent characteristics of the information revolution. Widely spread rapidly and the spread of low costs, faster and faster development of social media marketing, on the other hand, bear the thought of cultural inheritance and spread of the academic journals in China is still faced with publishers "difficult to sell books," the reader "difficult to buy books".How to make the academic books come on current marketing dilemma, academic information can make a more effective transfer out, the problem to be solved is the publishing industry. To be sure, social media marketing is a good way, but this practice was still in the stage of exploration, and related research is slightly insufficient. This paper, taking "rolls of the book" social media marketing as a case, combining the theory of communication, this paper discusses how to effectively academic books of social media marketing, put forward the feasible path and suggested countermeasures.First of all,the paper reviews the academic book marketing background,and the book marketing and academic book marketing research results at home and abroad; Secondly, this paper analyzes the academic books and general book marketing differences and the deficiency of the traditional academic book marketing channel; And then expounds the academic library’s social media marketing environment, social media’s influence on the academic library marketing; Again to Chongqing University Press "volume method" as a case, the paper of the actual situation of the social media marketing analysis; Finally, on the basis of the summary of the case, it is concluded that to make academic books and effective social media marketing is the key to grasp key word of social media 4I principle and of mouth marketing.
