Wireless sensor network has the characteristics of high density, strong concealment, random distribution, and also has the ability of rapid deployment and the ability of self-organization, is very suitable for the application in bad and complicated battlefield environment, such as monitoring force, equipment and supplies, supervision of enemy reconnaissance, discriminant biochemical attack, hit the target location and other military tactical application. However, the tactical information bundled with the location information has practical significance, provides the important basis to combat command. Therefore, node localization is a basic but very important problem of wireless sensor network; more is the key technology in the construction of national defense and military reconnaissance in the application of wireless sensor network.In wireless sensor localization algorithm, positioning algorithms based on RSSI technology algorithm usually compute the two nodes, distance according to the signal propagation model, and then calculate the coordinates of unknown nodes, obtain the location information of nodes. In the indoor environment, RSSI is vulnerable to interference, so the RSSI location will introduce large errors, and then leads to the RSSI localization algorithm is not stable in the actual applications. In view of this, this paper will study on the performance of wireless sensor localization algorithm, in order to improve the robustness and the positioning accuracy of RSSI positioning algorithm, and make it can be applied in practical project.The main research contents of this thesis include the following aspects:① a comprehensive introduction to the paper topics related to the background and the current status of research systematically, in-depth understanding of the relevant concepts of wireless sensor network technology and nodes localization algorithm.② Introducing the multidimensional scaling technique in detail, expounding the positioning mechanism and related applications. Research on location method of multidimensional scaling in wireless sensor network; studying on the target node self-localization algorithm of multidimensional(MDS-MAP) deeply; describing its algorithm process in detail. The experimental simulations prove that, compared to previous algorithms, this algorithm has better robustness, especially when the node in the plane is not uniform distribution of under the. Moreover, the algorithm requires less anchor nodes information in the same position accuracy.③ Study on the application of the indoor wireless sensor network localization aspect. Firstly introducing the RSSI indoor positioning technology, integrating RSSI and multidimensional scaling method, and then a method for indoor mobile target positioning was put forward, called the RSSI indoor localization algorithm based on multidimensional scaling; simulations and experimental results both show that, the algorithm is robust in the indoor environment, and can meet the needs of most localization in indoor environment.
