The feature of scattering centers is an essential scattering characteristic of the target in optical region. The scattering coefficient of scattering centers is related to the physical property and geometric feature of a target, so by studying the scattering coefficient of scattering centers, it is capable of obtaining the structure and size of scattering centers and then the geometric feature of the whole target. Taking the scattering coefficient pattern of scattering centers as the core, this paper studies the problems of parameter estimate and type discrimination of three-dimensional scattering center model. The whole paper can be divided into three parts:The first part mainly studies the extracting algorithm of the scattering coefficient pattern of scattering centers, including putting forward a common model of three-dimensional scattering centers, deducing an extracting algorithm of the scattering coefficient of three-dimensional scattering centers utilizing the thought of least squares estimate(LSE).The second part mainly talks about the parameterized modeling algorithm of the scattering coefficient pattern of three-dimensional scattering centers, including the algorithm of dividing the scattering coefficient into segments according to its amplitude, and how to construct the parameterized model by means of two-dimensional polynomials. The third part mainly deals with the algorithm of how to discriminate the type of three-dimensional scattering centers using scattering coefficients, including the multiple hypotheses testing model of type discrimination of three-dimensional scattering centers and its numerical method. Then this part does a simulation experiment to check this algorithm.
