Software Defined Radio(SDR) technology makes a critical breakthrough in the traditional design methods which mainly bases on hardware. SDR is an advanced technology which meets the flexible demands of modern wireless communication system by realizing software programs of different wireless communication algorithms to run on a universal hardware platform. SDR-4902 is a typical widely used SDR hardware platform in the procedure of SDR test, demonstration and development, which has the features such as wideband digital transceiver, a diversity of processing equipment and communication architectures and resource.This paper studies and implements the automatic waveform deployment algorithm by taking the advantages of SDR-4902 platform, such as the strong universality and software programmable characteristic and the flexible communication between different processors. The transplantation and integration of SDR waveform based on SDR-4902 should firstly deploy different waveform components into appropriate processors while meet the requirements such as system resource management and minimization, which is indeed a very complex resource allocation problem. The current existing solutions to this problem are hard to fulfill the demands of practical scenarios and this paper proposes a new and better resource management and automatic waveform deployment algorithm based on SDR-4902 which effectively and efficiently solves the problem.The main content of this paper is organized as follows.First, we analyze the architecture of SDR-4902 including the modularization and the extendibility of SDR-4902 hardware platform and layered software platform.Secondly, we take a research on the resource management mechanism of SDR-4902 based on different factors which may affect the procedure of waveform deployment. We conclude the factors as match and allocation characteristics and achieve the goal of parameterized resource management.Thirdly, we propose a new automatic waveform deployment algorithm based on the decomposition characteristics of waveform deployment procedure. The algorithm is mainly designed by dynamic methods and can be divided into fixed window and dynamic window algorithms in order to meet different demands of different scenarios. The related cost function is derived to minimize the resource consumption.Finally, we implement the automatic waveform deployment algorithm and give a detailed description of whole deployment procedure and corresponding result,test and verify the effectiveness of all algorithms.
