Electromagnetic compatibility(EMC) is an important integral part of electronic system design. And using metal cavity is the main method for electromagnetic interference resistance. Efficient prediction of the shielding effectiveness of the cavity under the reverberation environment has a great significance to electromagnetic compatibility design. Reverberation room is a good way to simulate complex electromagnetic environment, so the use of the reverberation chamber is very meaningful to analyze shielding effectiveness. On the basis of the validation the method of power balance, this paper proposes a new method to test the shielding effectiveness, the main contents can be described as follows:(1)The comparison of results obtained from PWB method and full-wave analysis method shows that PWB method can indeed provide effective data that meet certain accuracy requirement. This article uses PWB method to evaluate mean quality factor and the shielding effectivenes of the the Boeing 747-8.Comparison with the full-wave analysis method.(2) This article uses the angular spectrum of plane waves and Monte Carlo methods to simulate the electromagnetic environment of reverberation chamber, and a new method for calculating the shileding effectiveness of an enclosure is proposed. Meanwhile, the influence of sampling points and polarization direction of the Electric dipole antenna on the shielding effectiveness are discussed in this paper. It is shown that in such congifurations, the proposed simulation technology truly describes the shielding effectiveness of reverberation chamber, with high-speed and high-precision.The paper has given model and data can be used as reference for the design of theactualization of further engineering, has certain theoretical significance and practical value.
