Workpiece was a core part of equipment, the service performance of wordpiece was critical for the device, but there were holes, cracks and other defects in the workpiece inevitably, we must detect the type, size and other data of the defect through the non-destructive testing methods, so we can determine its service performance. This paper used a high-performance industrial CT method to detects the defect, and we got some workpiece slice images. However, there was often a fuzzy boundary or discontinuous edge and other issues for the traditional image interpolation algorithm. The paper took it as the background to have a deep research on the corresponding algorithm and the corresponding solutions were found. The main contents were as follows:(1) For the problem of fuzzy boundaries existed in the traditional gray interpolation algorithm, the best points of matching between the adjacent slice images on the gray interpolation method was studied. The matched points was got based on the best match function, then more high quality intermediate was interpolated designed to improve the accuracy of the latter part of the three-dimensional reconstruction.(2) There were some false positives and leak testing and the image was susceptible to noise and had much pixel, for these problems existed in the traditional edge extraction algorithm, a new edge extraction algorithm method was proposed to achieve a clear and accurate and a single pixel of the two-dimensional contour. It will provide a theoretical base and experimental model for a further realization of forging three-dimensional digital model.(3) For the problem of interpolated contour fracturing existed in the traditional deformation interpolation algorithm when the image include concave contour, a method of non-uniform proportional scaling in the enclosing regions was researched to obtain a continuous edge contour, so that the defect detection had a wider adaptability.(4) Taking Windows 7 as the operating platform, matlab as a tool to program the corresponding algorithm, and finally, the correctness and validity of these theories was verified through the example simulation.
