With the development of sensor and communication technologies, Wireless Sensor Network(WSN) has been widely used in many areas, including static sensor networks and mobile sensor networks. While the energy-constrained sensor node limits the application of the WSNs. The topology optimization control algorithm in the WSNs can reduce the energy consumption and extend the network lifetime. So this paper investigates the topology optimazition algorithm and control algorithm of fault-tolerant topology based on the optimally rigid graph. The specific studies are as follow:(1) To solve the problem that energy utilization is low and the link quality is unreliable, this paper proposes the link quality and energy topology control algorithm based on optimally rigid graph, building the topology graph with reliable link and the low energy consumption. At last, the simulation results show that the algorithm is effective.(2) This paper investigates the fault-tolerant control algorithm based on optimally rigid topology hand off for resolving the problem that the failure nodes make the network disconnected and the optimized topology can not resolve the problem. The topology graph is handed off by adjusting the node transmission power and based on optimally rigid. The connectivity of the network is restored. The simulation show that this algorithm with fault-tolerant feature can restore the connectivity of network when some node is failure, in addition this algorithm can reduce the consumption of energy when restore the connectivity of network.(3) For the node transmission power is limited, the mobile node is introduced the WSNs. The connectivity of network is restored by moving the mobile nodes. This paper proposes the fault-tolerant control algorithm of mobile wireless sensor networks based on the recovery of connectivity. After determining the node is critical node and failure or not, the connectivity of networks is restored by moving the best node. This algorithm can avoid the cascade movement in the WSNs, so reduce the consumption of energy. The simulation proves that the algorithm has the feature of fault-tolerant.
