Coal mine’s operating environment is very complex, changes in methane, carbon monoxide, oxygen, temperature, hydrogen sulfide and other environmental parameters are threat to underground operations personnel. By detecting sensors can predict danger,to guarantee security. There are main single parameter sensors in detection of mine’s environmental parameters, which is caused a waste of resources and also leads to the increase of the cost. Although there is a small part of the multi-parameter sensor, their manual calibration cycle and life is short and their sensitivity is easy to decay.Therefore, the research of a high-performance self-calibrating multi-parameter sensor in mine has very important significance. This paper is aimed at the requirement of mining sensors at the current market and put forward the design of the ultra-low power self-calibration multi-parameter sensor in mine based on MSP430 microcontroller.This system includes hardware and software components. The hardware part of the sensor system of this paper consists of the multi-parameter acquisition module, the microcontroller(MCU) processing module based on MSP430F5510, LED display module, sound and light module, infrared calibration module, WiFi transmission module, power supply module. The compiler and debugging of the software part is finished by IAR, which consists of calibration program design, data processing programming, self-calibration algorithm design, infrared remote control decoding program design. Meanwhile, in the design of the system, it adopts the effective anti-jamming measures to further ensure the stability of the system. Finally, test the sensor system and analysis of its error to ensure the effective, accurate, stable detection.The mine self-calibrating multi-parameter sensor designed by this paper can achieve the goal to detect environmental parameters in mine, such as temperature,carbon monoxide, methane, hydrogen sulfide and oxygen. It shows the current environmental parameters detected through the LED display, begins sound and light alarm beyond the range of data, uploads the data detected on real-time through wireless Wi Fi network. By the further improving design of the hardware and software programs,it increases the zeroing circuit of the methane sensor and the temperature self-compensating design of the carbon monoxide and hydrogen sulfide sensor based on weak signal detection, which makes manual calibration cycle greatly extended and improves the accuracy of their detection.
