As the commercial of the smart phone and 3G/4G communication technology, now we are in a mobile computing world. People’s demand for the services based on location is growing, such as the O2 O service, the commercial recommendation based on position, frineds geting together and the real time monitor for children and the elders. The key of the service based on location is the wireless positioning technology. Now the outdoor position which uses the GPS has reached a very high accuracy, but for the indoor position, the GPS is not work because we can’t receive the GPS signal in the indoor environment.How to improve the accuracy of the indoor position is becoming the focus of people’s research.The main research point of this paper is the wireless position technology based on LTE system. We analyed the wireless position part of the LTE protocol, introduced the framework and process, mainly researched the OTDOA positioning method and the fingerprint positioning method. On the base of researching a large number of papers, we introduced and simulated several OTDOA positioning algorithms and fingerprint positioning algorithms which are has a high accuracy.In this paper, we proposed two improved fingerprint positioning algorithms which has a higher accuracy. In addition, as for the OTDOA positioning method, we proposed a improved algorithm which is combined by MPDA algorithm and the fingerprint positioning algorithm that overcomed the weakness of the each two algorithms. The simulation results indicated that the improved algorithm had a higher accuarcy than MPDA algorithm.At last, we designed and implemented two indoor positioning systems, the OTDOA positioning system and the fingerprint positioning system. The OTDOA positioning system implemented the improved OTDOA algorithm we proposed, and the fingerprint positioning system implemented several traditional algotithms and the two improved algorithms we proposed.
