With the massive growth of data storage and data processing,Internet Dat a Center has been widely applied in various of important industries. With the improvement o f the uninterrupted operat ion of the data center, the network data center, data exchange center, financial settlement center, important system dispatch center as well as the important business depart ment also has a higher and higher request o f the data availabilit y. The availabilit y o f data center is one of the core parameters o f consumer of data center, which direct ly reflects the performance of data center. At the same t ime, the availabilit y of data center has become one of the important references to providing high cost ratio data center so lut ion for custo mers.Through the summary o f the literatures, the quant ifying status o f the availabilit y of the data center and the research status o f the factors affect ing the availabilit y of the data center are summarized. Taking the data center power supply and distribut ion system as the object of study, a new method o f calculat ing the availabilit y o f data center distribution system with Monte Carlo methods comparing to analyt ical methods is presented.Four kinds o f t ypical distribut ion systems in data center are designed o n availabilit y respectively, which are designed by both analyt ical methods and Monte Carlo methods. The differences of the t ypical distribution systems availabilit y will be studied and analyzed quant itatively. Choose proper architectures when you have some unique requirements of power distribut ion system reliabilit y.A method o f evaluat ing the availabilit y of power distribut ion systems by using Monte Carlo methods is designed, and the architecture of the distribut io n system for the distribut ion system is optimized on availabilit y. The optimizat ion and improvement schemes o f the power supply segments are presented, and the co mparison o f the availabilit y o f the power distribution system before and after the optimizat ion and so me relevant conclusions are given.The power supply segments in the power supply systems of the data center will be designed to ensure their optimization funct ions o f availabilit y. With the applicat ions o f some innovat ive conclusions when designing the coordination o f power supply and distribution systems as well as co mbining data center availabilit y theory, we would like to illustrate that coordination design is important to opt imize the system availabilit y. And we also would like to offer so me important design bases to the data center designers.In this paper, we illustrate the great advantage of the Monte Carlo method s when calculat ing the availabilit y o f co mplex power distribution systems through the design and opt imizat ion o f power distribution system in data centers. Through the availabilit y design of four typical power distribut ion system architectures in data center and the opt imal design of the availabilit y of each segment in the actual data center supply and distribut ion system, we certify that these optimizat ions can obviously enhance the availabilit y o f power supply system. The coordinat ion design of the system can improve the availabilit y o f the system significantly wit hout increasing the invest ment.
